Destinations Booksellers is located at 604 East Spring Street in New Albany, Indiana. Established in 2004, we were the first general bookstore in the city since 1947, and are still the only full-service independent bookstore in our area of Southern Indiana. For those not familiar with the area, New Albany is located just north and west of Louisville, Ky., on the Ohio River border between Indiana and Kentucky. Spring Street and the entire downtown area are served by I-64, exit 123. For more about the city itself, visit cityofnewalbany.com.
We sell books of all kinds, fiction and nonfiction. We do not sell used books. If we do not have the item you seek, we can usually have it in your hands within a day or two.
You can shop around the clock at our online store, where shipping costs only 99 cents per item. We have millions of items available for delivery to your location, including books, ebooks, music, and movies. To be sure, the online store has a much greater selection than we have on hand in the store for you to browse.
We do offer textbook rentals online and we buy recently used textbooks in the store.
You can call or text the store at 812-944-5116 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also located within our building is the restaurant Taco Steve, serving tacos, burritos, quesadillas, guacamole and other Mexican foods. For more details, visit Taco Steve’s Facebook page for menus and hours.
Chef Gina Brown teaches culinary classes in the same space. For her schedules and classes, visit everydayfreshwithchefgina.com.
We also share space with a new non-profit, Arts Along the Ohio Charities, Inc. Watch for more news about that, including our participation in the rewards program for members of Arts Along the Ohio.
Destinations Booksellers is owned and operated by Randy Smith of New Albany.
